It's time to roll, walk, dance, ride and raise awareness and funds for spina bifida!

I'm Strolling for Empowerment with the Spina Bifida Resource Network (SBRN) on Sunday, June 5, at Colonial Park in Somerset, N.J.

The time is now to make a tax-deductible donation! Your contribution to the Spina Bifida Resource Network will support SBRN's support services to children, adults and families living with Spina Bifida and other disabilities in our communities. I can personally vouch for SBRN as they, along with all of you, are longtime members of my personal support system.

Making a donation is easy and safe! Simply click the "Donate" button on the top right of this page. I can also accept offline donations.

It's true that EVERY DONATION COUNTS, so please give if/what you can and remember to share this page on your social media sites and with others who may be interested and able to support the critical work of the Spina Bifida Resource Network.

Learn more about The Spina Bifida Resource Network on their website (www.thesbrn.org).

ABOUT 2016 Spring Walk for Empowerment

Dear Friends,

We need your help more than ever! As you know, I’m participating in the Walk for Empowerment in Somerset, NJ on June 7thto raise awareness about Spina Bifida and to raise funds for the nursing and family support coordination that the Spina Bifida Resource Network (SBRN) provides to children and families.

The State of NJ has eliminated all funding for the services SBRN provides to children under the age of 21. In spite of this setback, SBRN has continued to provide nurses and family support coordinators to families’ homes, school meetings, medical visits and hospital beds to provide assistance, training, advocacy, comfort and support as needed. SBRN is committed to continuing services to children with Spina Bifida, however, now they need our support even more.

I have been personally touched by Spina Bifida, and I hope that you will consider supporting my efforts to help SBRN and the children and families it serves. There are a few ways to do this:

  • Make a donation to my page (any amount is gratefully appreciated).
  • Ask your company if they would be willing to sponsor the event or to contribute an item to the tricky tray raffle.
  • Share my page and efforts on your social media outlets.
  • Join me at the Walk! It would mean a lot to me.

Making a donation is easy and secure- simply click the "Donate Now" button in the upper right to donate. Make sure to bookmark this page and come back often to check on my progress!

Thank you for your help and support!
